DESCRIPTION:One Colorado is excited to bring back the Queer Youth Summit this year! The Summit is a 1-day forum welcoming LGBTQ+ youth and young adults\, parents\, and educators for speakers and workshops to learn\, share\, dialogue\, and connect in support of LGBTQ+ students. Learn more HERE. \nMark your calendars for October 21st and check this space for further updates\, including: \n\nour host location\,\nworkshop leaders and topics\,\nkeynote speakers\,\nand more.\n\nAbout the Queer Youth Summit\nOne Colorado developed the first Queer Youth Summit in 2014 to establish create a welcoming and safe environment for LGBTQIA+ students in Colorado schools to address the issues and challenges they face. Over the years we have partnered with Gender & Sexuality Alliances (GSA) and students across the state to create a forum for students\, parents and guardians\, and educators to gather\, learn\, and dialogue through various workshops\, panels\, and interactive sessions. Participants have the opportunity to interact with peers and mentors\, meet new people\, share their experiences\, shift and deepen their understanding\,  and improve their capacity to promote constructive change for LGBTQ+ students in Colorado. While the primary focus of this event is by and for young people\, parents\, college students\, and other allied community members are all warmly welcomed. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Proposal Application\nOne Colorado is seeking Workshop Proposals for our 2023 Queer Youth Summit. Workshops from youth serving organizations and those that are youth-led will be prioritized. Applications accepted through August 10\, 2023. \n\nWORKSHOP PROPOSAL \n\nVendor Application\nOne Colorado is seeking Vendor Applications for our 2023 Queer Youth Summit. \n\nVENDOR FORM\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOne Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for (LGBTQ) Coloradans and their families. We need volunteers to help prepare a meal and serve it to patrons coming in. Food needs to be soft in nature since many of the people have dental issues. \nDate: Monday\, October 23\, 2023\nTime: 4:30pm-6:30pm\nLocation: First United Methodist Church\, 824 Cooper Ave\, Glenwood (Entrance to basement is in rear of building)\nAdditional Details: Donations would also be welcomed: Patrons have toiletry needs (think small bottles of body wash\, deodorant\, shampoo\, etc.)\, small cans or bags of cat food and/or dog food is also encouraged since many have pet companions as well.  Additionally\, if you have any clothing you’d like to donate\, bring that as well!  We can always use bags of ice\, bottled water or if someone would like to donate reusable water bottles (that’s even better)\, and to-go containers. \n\n\nGay For Good mobilizes lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender\, queer (LGBTQ+) and ally volunteers to promote diversity\, foster inclusion and strengthen ties to the broader community.\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Back At LiftUp AND On Christmas Day\nJoin G4G Rocky Mountains as we once again partner with LiftUp to help those with food insecurity. We need volunteers on Christmas Day to help prepare a meal and serve it to patrons coming in. Food needs to be soft in nature since many of the people have dental issues.  We also want to make this as festive as possible.  We need volunteers to also bring decorations\, music\, clothes to donate and even presents if you have the ability. \nOther donations that would also be welcomed: Patrons have toiletry needs (think small bottles of body wash\, deodorant\, shampoo\, etc.)\, small cans or bags of cat food and/or dog food is also encouraged since many have pet companions as well.  Additionally\, if you have any clothing you’d like to donate\, bring that as well!  We can always use bags of ice\, bottled water or if someone would like to donate reusable water bottles (that’s even better)\, and to-go containers. \nREGISTER HERE
