SUMMARY:One Colorado's 2023 Queer Youth Summit
DESCRIPTION:One Colorado is excited to bring back the Queer Youth Summit this year! The Summit is a 1-day forum welcoming LGBTQ+ youth and young adults\, parents\, and educators for speakers and workshops to learn\, share\, dialogue\, and connect in support of LGBTQ+ students. Learn more HERE. \nMark your calendars for October 21st and check this space for further updates\, including: \n\nour host location\,\nworkshop leaders and topics\,\nkeynote speakers\,\nand more.\n\nAbout the Queer Youth Summit\nOne Colorado developed the first Queer Youth Summit in 2014 to establish create a welcoming and safe environment for LGBTQIA+ students in Colorado schools to address the issues and challenges they face. Over the years we have partnered with Gender & Sexuality Alliances (GSA) and students across the state to create a forum for students\, parents and guardians\, and educators to gather\, learn\, and dialogue through various workshops\, panels\, and interactive sessions. Participants have the opportunity to interact with peers and mentors\, meet new people\, share their experiences\, shift and deepen their understanding\,  and improve their capacity to promote constructive change for LGBTQ+ students in Colorado. While the primary focus of this event is by and for young people\, parents\, college students\, and other allied community members are all warmly welcomed. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Proposal Application\nOne Colorado is seeking Workshop Proposals for our 2023 Queer Youth Summit. Workshops from youth serving organizations and those that are youth-led will be prioritized. Applications accepted through August 10\, 2023. \n\nWORKSHOP PROPOSAL \n\nVendor Application\nOne Colorado is seeking Vendor Applications for our 2023 Queer Youth Summit. \n\nVENDOR FORM\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOne Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for (LGBTQ) Coloradans and their families. DESCRIPTION:One Colorado is kicking off a statewide education and outreach tour at the end of September to connect with communities in 15 cities throughout the state. From Colorado Springs to Fort Collins\, from Grand Junction to Aurora\, from Pueblo to Glenwood Springs\, we are hitting the road to hear about what matters most to Coloradans in a time when the LGBTQ+ community is facing unprecedented attacks. \nFrom the over 520 anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced in legislatures across the country to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in the 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis case to the current constitutional ban on same sex marriage in Colorado\, we know we can’t back down. SUMMARY:One Colorado's PRISM Awards
DESCRIPTION:The Prism Awards\, formerly the Ally Awards\, is One Colorado’s annual gala to honor individuals and organizations who have made a substantive difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ Coloradans and their families. The event will be hosted on Saturday\, September 23rd from 6pm – 10pm at the Denver Art Museum. The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception and silent auction with a hosted bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Guests will then move to the pavilion and attendees will enjoy an awards ceremony with special guest speakers\, delectable desserts\, and champagne. \nTickets & Sponsorships\nEarly Bird ticket sales end August 11th. Tickets will be available for purchase at regular price until the evening of the Prism Awards on September 23rd.
