Queer Asterisk Presents – ENGENDER: Room For The Rest

This year’s Engender Gala invites you into Room for the Rest — an exploration of the asterisk as a symbol of what so often gets left out.
The asterisk in Queer Asterisk’s name is an opening, a reminder that everything about you belongs, even the parts that feel unseen, unspoken, or out of place.
At Engender you’ll hear what it means to make “room for the rest” from Yvie Oddly, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as enjoy a dance performance, spoken word poetry, staff reflections, and a community ceremony, as we gather to celebrate queer expansiveness and affirm that what doesn’t fit the mold is not only welcome, but vital to our collective wholeness.
This event is for everyone who wants to feel more deeply connected to queerness — not just as an identity, but as a way of being that honors uniqueness, authenticity, and freedom.
Registration is free! Everyone is welcome.
When you register, you’ll also have the opportunity to make a donation — and you can give again during the event. Every gift directly supports affordable, accessible queer and trans mental health services in Colorado.
By supporting queer mental health, you are investing in a world where all people can show up more fully as themselves.
Queer healing invitees us all into more freedom, belonging, and courage that benefit us all.
Now more than ever, as our communities face ongoing political and legislative attacks, this work is essential. Your support ensures that queer and trans people have spaces of healing, connection, and joy.
Join us on October 9th, 2025 for an evening of art, reflection, and community care. Together, we will make more room for the rest.
