I have been involved in nonprofits my entire career, with experience in communications and marketing, fundraising, event planning, and community engagement. I have been with Aspen Valley Land Trust for six years, another cause close to my heart, and how my wife and I first came to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2020.
 
We were unsure what to expect in a small, rural community, but thrilled to see pride and trans flags line an empty downtown Carbondale that June. As the valley re-opened and welcomed us in, we quickly grew our network within the queer community. I deeply hope every child and adult feels a similar sense of belonging, and I am proud to be on AspenOUT’s Board of Directors to help build connections and community.

Through innovative programming, vital resources, and strategic financial support, we champion the well-being of all queer individuals—lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and beyond—fostering a culture of understanding and belonging. We alleviate the financial barriers to essential specialized therapy for families, cultivate the potential of Q+ youth through empowerment initiatives and collegiate scholarships, and build a vibrant community for adults and allies through engaging programs.
