AspenOUT Leadership & Scholarship Program Application Available
AspenOUT is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Leadership & Scholarship Program. We are now accepting applications from Juniors and Seniors from Aspen High School, Basalt High School, Roaring Fork High School, CRMS and Glenwood High School. Leadership training will be based on a therapeutic recreation model and delivered by a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Leadership Training will be 2 hours once a month from October through May. All participants who complete the program and the identified responsibilities will receive a $5,000 scholarship for college ($1,250 a year for four years) or vocational school (paid out based on number of years). Find the full program description HERE. Goals: 1. Empower young leaders to promote tolerance, inclusivity, compassion, and LGBTQ rights. 2. Strengthen the Gender & Sexualities (GSA) Clubs at involved area high schools. 3. Strengthen communications and fun interactions between high school GSAs in the Valley. 4.
