TACAW is proud to present Kid Flicks: Pride a vibrant collection of LGBTQ+ stories from the New York International Children’s Film Festival. Curated for ages 10 and up, these films explore identity, community, and love through fun, creative storytelling. From schoolyard crushes to Hawaiian traditions, this free screening offers meaningful representation and joyful celebration for young audiences and families alike.We’re proud to present the New York International Children’s Film Festival’s Kid Flicks Pride Tour—a special touring program celebrating LGBTQ+ stories and storytellers through vibrant, inclusive short films for young audiences. Kid Flicks: Pride is a celebration of self-expression, community, legacy, and love. Curated specifically for ages 9 and up, these shorts from around the world feature a wide range of LGBTQ+ identities and experiences in as many unique styles.     Join Mitzi Rapkin as she interviews author Torrey Peters at TACAW. Mitzi is the founder, host and producer of the literary podcast, “First Draft: A Dialogue on Writing,” which features a new author interview each week. She has interviewed more than 500 contemporary writers of fiction, nonfiction, essays, and poetry over the past eleven years. Her conversations explore essential questions about what it means to be human alongside the craft of writing and the themes of the writers’ works.
