  • Mountain Pride Adventure Camp for Youth

    Gypsum, Colorado 52 Lundgren Blvd, Gypsum, CO

    Enjoy a week of outdoor adventure camp with other LGBTQ+ identifying youth and youth allies!  Trained and experienced program leaders guide campers each day on new adventures together, exploring our incredible “backyard” around Eagle County. Participants are exposed to a variety of high adventure activities that  include hiking, outdoor rock climbing, stand-up paddle boarding, and daily debriefs with topics including Understanding Identity, Confidence and Self-Efficacy, Resiliency, and Sense of Belonging. Activities may vary and are dependent on weather and conditions. Questions about this camp? During this two-week immersive camp, you will: • Make a short documentary film + a music video featuring students from the Rock and Roll Academy Roaring Fork • Learn filmmaking skills — storytelling, videography, editing, sound design + mixing • Use professional filmmaking equipment and editing software • Be part of a creative team • See your film on the big screen at Movieland • Have fun!     On the 4th Tuesday of each month, The Art Base and AspenOUT welcome our local LGBTQIA+ community and allies come together to socialize, make art, network, and have fun with or without an adult beverage. The class will feature a variety of projects in a variety of media. All levels are welcome. You will feel comfortable exploring creativity if you have no experience making art and have fun if you are an accomplished working artist, all in a safe environment, which is why Creations and Libations was conceived. $20/class. If you enjoy cartoons, comic book art, fantasy and animation then this class is right up your alley. Join master cartoonist Brian Weller and delve into the world of 2D Illustration. Students will learn how to create custom characters from scratch using templates, and cover drawing styles from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s,and today! This is a zany and toon filled class that inspire you to the looniest.
