The Summit is a 1-day forum welcoming LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, parents, and educators for speakers and workshops to learn, share, dialogue, and connect in support of LGBTQ+ students. About the Queer Youth Summit One Colorado developed the first Queer Youth Summit in 2014 to establish create a welcoming and safe environment for LGBTQIA+ students in Colorado schools to address the issues and challenges they face. Over the years we have partnered with Gender & Sexuality Alliances (GSA) and students across the state to create a forum for students, parents and guardians, and educators to gather, learn, and dialogue through various workshops, panels, and interactive sessions. Participants have the opportunity to interact with peers and mentors, meet new people, share their experiences, shift and deepen their understanding, and improve their capacity to promote constructive change for LGBTQ+ students in Colorado.
